Planning the perfect dive trip can be harder than the dive itself. I’m here to make it easier—and keep it honest.
Hi, I’m John—a passionate scuba diver. Whether it’s deep technical dives, recreational dives on stunning reefs, freezing lake dives or gritty quarry training, I love to get wet. The only exception? Muck diving. It’s just not my thing.
I’m landlocked, so most of my dives involve travel. That’s not always easy, and I know I’m not the only one who struggles to plan a solid dive trip.
This is where I share my diving experiences and travel stories. How did I pick a dive operator? How did I get there? How was the diving—and the operator? What was the topside cultural experience like? That’s my focus.
Gear matters too, especially in a “buy before you try” sport. And training is a big part of the journey. I’ll cover those topics as well.
It’s important to note that I don’t accept sponsorships or create promotional content. Any dive operator I use won’t know in advance that I plan to write about them. I buy my own gear. I keep it real—because there’s already too much sponsored garbage on the internet. If that’s what you’re looking for, you are in the wrong place.
I hope you enjoy what you find here. Drop me a line if you have questions or suggestions.
